Numerology—Special Letters In Your Name
By SisterCyber

From "Numerology" © 1994 by Hans Decoz and Tom Monte / All rights reserved.

Each letter in your name represents your characteristics, but the location of the letters can determine their impact.

For instance, the first letter of your name (use your first name at birth) is called the Cornerstone. It gives you an indication of your character, particularly in the way you approach opportunities and obstacles. The last letter of your first name reveals your ability and attitude toward finishing projects that you start. This letter is called your Capstone. Together, your Cornerstone and Capstone can tell you much about your capacity to start and finish a project successfully.

The first vowel of your first name reveals something of your deeper self.

As was explained in the Numerology ~ The Core Numbers: Heart's Desire Number article, the Heart's Desire is a somewhat hidden, but strongly represented, core number in your chart. It is a big part of yourself that you do not reveal easily or indiscriminately, and it is usually recognized only by your relatives and friends.

The first vowel of your name is the little window through which you allow the uninitiated a glimpse at your deeper self.

It is interesting to note that a person who uses a first name with a different first vowel as the original birth name is particularly apprehensive of revealing his or her deeper self.

For example, Thomas' first vowel is the letter O. He goes by Tom, allowing another person, the first time they meet, a limited view of his deeper nature through the little window of the first vowel.

Albert, who introduces himself as Bert, is more protective of his vulnerable Heart's Desire, and he does not reveal his true first vowel. Only those who know him to have the birth name Albert are allowed to look through the little window into Bert's heart.

The author has described a general meaning of the letters of the alphabet below. However, keep in mind their location in the chart, and adjust the description accordingly.

The letters of your name reveal the strengths and weaknesses that have been part of your make-up since the day you came into this world.

Through careful analysis of your chart, particularly the letters of your name, and the order in which they appear, you have the opportunity to recognize and to overcome your weaknesses, as well as to take full advantage of your strengths.

Study the descriptions of the letters, then write your name in large print on on a piece of cardboard, and contemplate each letter and the position where it is found. You will be amazed how much insight can be gained through this method.

Mouse:
Same for me wrt the name that I've been called since birth. (A little note - in Holland it is common to have a legal/christening name, and then an aka.

My birth announcement said "We have a daughter, her name is [Christening name], we will call her [my "regular" name].

Official forms in Holland always have space for that regular name, and they ask for Christening initials, not for legal first name/second name initial like they do in North America. I have never been called by my first legal name before until I started receiving mail for that name here in North America. So while I will acknowledge it as a legal name, my real name is my aka. And this winter I will be applying to have it added officially to my legal names for Canadian law since legal names in Holland can only be changed when one can prove psychological trauma or hardship.)

So for my AKA, the name that I have been called by friends and family since the day I was born, and which is acknowledged by Dutch law to be my name:
M Special Letter You are energetic and hardworking with a touch of the workaholic. You are efficient, and you do not tire easily. You probably have a strong physical constitution. You are domestic, and want financial security. You are tolerant and can endure hardships. You have to learn to be more patient with others.
E Special Letter The E needs plenty of freedom. Because you are physical and passionate, you will probably be married more than once. You like to be social and to entertain. You are highly perceptive, and not easily fooled. You are original and versatile. You are also capable of looking at a situation from different perspectives. You must learn discipline.

In Holland many people leave out the last two letters of my name, though I never have introduced myself as such or considered it my nickname. So I would say that my Dutch family and friends may have trouble with the "J" and "E" part of me?

First vowel is an A. For my first Christening name: First letter is a G, last one is an A.

BeWater:
That's interesting to have both a Christening and "regular" name, and that in Holland some leave out the last two letters of your name, mouse. All of those points just might play a role in how you "come off" to people who know you as they know you. Although it doesn't change who you are, it likely makes certain of your qualities stand out in certain ways for certain people (if that makes sense).

Numerology For A House

By Maat

If anyone can help here please step in I'd be grateful. We are moving into our new home within the next month, if all goes to plan. Our new house number will be 45 making 9 if I'm correct.

What is the significance of the number 9 with regard to a home would anyone know?

Also, my life path number is 9, Dolphin's is also 9, The house 9.
This little sum 3 x 9 (the above) = 27 = 2 + 7 = 9
9 is intriguing me at the moment I'm sure you can see why! Insights welcome.

WolfSpirit:
Maat, I'd have to run get my books, but off the top of my head 9 is a completion number where things are resolved. It funny I have only ever lived at no 18 (1+8=9). The family home (where i lived from being born to 26) is number 18 and my house is number 18. Hmm doesn't say much for the number 9 being a resolution number

Maat:
Thanks for the info - as ever reliable. Oftentimes, I imagine you like something out of a Harry Potter film, surrounded by books, head bent over in studious pose, Thank you to you and those wonderful books (library) of yours!

SisterCyber:
I used to be quite fluent in numerology, but having put it down for such a very long time, I can only post what I can remember. That is... What I THINK I can remember... I may very well be mistaken, as memory might fail without practice, but to my recollection, the number 9 represents the finishing of a cycle ~ the cycle being from 1 to 9, and 10 (1 + 0) beginning a new cycle of 9. When you look at your addy, you need to also look at the significance of the other numbers. 4, is related to business, as far as being business minded, detail oriented. The number 5 I remember is a dynamic number and at the same time it can represent overindulgence in things. It is a lively number; carefree, and because of this it is easy for 5s to bring overindulgence.

“This little sum 3 x 9 (the above) = 27 = 2 + 7 = 9”

(3 is generally a very creative number; poets, artists, musicians, etc. usually have 3s in their numbers.)

The number two is a number of wisdom and insight, and the number 7 is a number of spirituality. 27 has a meaning of its own Also, when looking at your address, don't just look at the numerals; look at the word that represents the street. Speaking of streets, you also might want to factor in the values of "Street, Avenue, Road, Way, Drive, Place" and other types of words describing the type of "street." And you might not want to leave out the zip code either. I do have a book at home, packed away somewhere still, and if I can find it (don't hold your breath ~ lol) I'd be happy to let you know what 27 means, as well as 45. The book does have information on numbers in addresses, and I'll let you know what it indicates for that too, if I can find the book. Don't take my words above for gold ~ I am not sure if I remember everything correctly, but I believe at least what I wrote here is right. I'll try to confirm it for you tomorrow.

Maat:
Thanks Sister Cyber, the info you provided is really interesting and useful. It's made me think that I've more to consider in my new address as we will have an area number and a Street number. The Street will be 6 and the area of The Springs will be 15 I think. Mmm there's a bit to think about there. Thanks for the help and don't go to any trouble with the book, I know you've a lot on your mind right now. That's why I'm sending a few extra of these today.

SisterCyber:
Oh gosh ~ thank you ~ that is so sweet! *grabs the love* You're very welcome. I wouldn't bet all my money on that info I provided though because it's been a while since I've looked into numbers for anything. But I did put it to the best of my memory. And a little more... 6 is representative of love. The number 1 is a number of leadership and strength, and I see you also have the dynamic five again. The lights were out at home for a portion of last evening so I couldn't look for the book anyway. I do promise to get back to this because I would feel rotten if I mistakenly gave you bum data.

At least *something* that was packed has finally come out of hiding!

“The numbers in your environment give indications that should not be ignored. Understanding their meaning and their purpose can help you to move along the path of life smoothly, and with less anxiety. One of the most important and telling numbers is your house number. It foretells the kind of events and experiences, both positive and negative, that you will likely encounter during your stay in that house. To understand your house or telephone number, you have to have a good understanding of the nine single-digit numbers, and to use this insight to analyze multiple-digit numbers in your environment.”

...New house number will be 45 making 9....

The 4 is the most practical of all numbers, with a sharp eye for details. It is orderly, systematic, methodical, and precise. It is reliable, punctual, and dependable. It forms the foundation of every enterprise. It is the rock and the cornerstone. The 5 is the most dynamic of all numbers. It is persuasive; a promoter and a salesperson par-excellence. It is the architect, landscaper, and designer; a combiner of colors and materials. It is aloof, noble, aristocratic, and a healer of the many. ... The little sum 3 x 9 (the above) = 27 = 2 + 7 = 9....

The 2 is the most gentle of all numbers, and represents cooperation, diplomacy, and tact. It is the power behind the throne; it is a supportive number, and it often plays the role of advisor. it is very feminine and subtle. The 2 is loving, vulnerable, and humble. It loves music and harmony in any form. It dislikes direct confrontation, is easily hurt, and does not handle criticism well. However, it is extremely resilient. It is the peacemaker.

The 7 is the most spiritual of all numbers. It is the seeker of truth, and is mental, analytical, focused, contemplative, and meditative. It is the accumulation of knowledge and wisdom, and the intellectual and abstract thinker. It is insightful and understanding, self-oriented, and often withdrawn. It is an inward, interior journey. It is the scientist, philosopher, preacher, scholar, and sage. It is reflectivity, aloneness, and quiet contentment. It is the hermit's number.

27 Double-Digit Number ~ It is a counselor, a volunteer, and an artist, and is often successful. It represents inheritance. It is sometimes rigid and narow-minded. ...The street will be 6 and the area of The Springs will be 15 I think...

The 1 is the most independent, unconventional, and individualistic of all numbers. It represents the beginning, the shource, the innovator, the orginator, and the uniqueness of the Individualist. It is masculine, and it possesses a strong sense of courage and leadership. It is ambitious and goal-oriented. It has direction, and it does not doubt its course of action. It is stubborn, and it has strong opinions about right and wrong. It is a high energy, dynamic force that drives relentlessly towards its destiny. (Definition for 5 is above....)

The 6 is the most loving of all numbers. It is harmonious with all other numbers, and is committed, caring, sympathetic, protective, and nurturing, as well as responsible, self-sacrificing, and undemanding. It is domestic, marriage- and family-oriented, and community conscious. It is the teacher and the healer. The 6 cares for those who are weaker. It is visually artistic, creative and a craftsperson. It is also the mother/fatherhood number.

15 Double-Digit Number ~ It is loving, forgiving, and extremely tolerant. it is responsible, successful, dynamic, and strong. It represents travel, adventure, and experimentation. This number can bring self-indulgence. Those are general descriptions for some of the numbers you mentioned. There are also specific details, as for pathways, Master Numbers (11 & 22), Karmic Debt numbers (13, 14, 16 and 19) and much, much more. But those are general descriptions of the qualities of the numbers above.

Maat:
Thanks very much for all this interesting information. Thanks also for remembering to check these numbers out for me. Five is interesting. Dolphin man works for himself so the energy from the five could be quite beneficial there. I'm also looking to use one room as a healing room. On the whole the numbers are quite good then! Thanks for your efforts with this!

SisterCyber:
Maat ~ your welcome! Just to complicate this a little further for you... hehehe... When you calculate something like the street *name* ~ for example, I think the one you gave was "Spring" you should observe how the numbers appear in the name according to their letter placement, but not so much as how many time a number repeats in the name or on the contrary, what numbers are not represented. Confused yet? Like... S = 1 P = 7 R = 9 I = 9 N = 5 G = 7 You see you have 2 7s and 2 9s, making the qualities of these numbers "stronger" I guess (for lack of a better term at the moment). Besides those two numbers, the 1 and 5 are the only others represented. Of course these numbers have to be added to a single digit, but that's just something else to keep in mind.

Maat, there's LOTS more! I only provided the general characteristics/personalities of the numbers you mentioned.
